Car Key Replacement FAQ
How long does a car key replacement take?
A duplicate takes 10 to 20 minutes. An all-keys-lost job with immobilizer programming usually runs 45 to 90 minutes depending on the manufacturer's security delay.
Do you need my VIN?
For all-keys-lost work, yes — it is how we retrieve the factory key code. It is visible through the windshield at the driver's corner of the dash.
What proof of ownership is acceptable?
Current registration, insurance card or title in your name, matched to a government photo ID.
Can you program a fob I bought online?
Often yes, provided the FCC ID and frequency match your vehicle. We will tell you before charging for programming if the part is wrong.
Do you work on European vehicles?
We handle most common VW, Audi, BMW and Mercedes platforms. A few late-model models require dealer-only tooling, and we say so upfront.
Will opening my car damage the door or paint?
No. We use air wedges and long-reach tools designed for non-destructive entry.
Are you available at night?
We operate 7am to 9pm daily. Calls placed near closing are still dispatched if we can reach you safely.
How do I get a firm price?
Call with the year, make, model and whether a working key exists. That is enough to quote a tight range before dispatch.
Can you delete a lost key from my car?
Yes. An immobilizer relearn erases previously coded keys so a lost or stolen key no longer starts the vehicle.
Do you service motorcycles or heavy trucks?
Motorcycles and light commercial vehicles, yes. Class 7 and 8 trucks we handle case by case — call to check.
